Gloria Parrino - Senior Vice President
With a background of twenty years in commercial real estate, Gloria Parrino is well versed in assisting companies with office leasing decisions. Some of the services she provides include:
  • Information on sublease space in the Houston area
  • Review of a company's existing lease, identifying areas to address in today's market
  • Market study of the area where the company is currently located, including rental rates, occupancy levels and terms
  • Space plans of available space in comparable properties
  • Assistance in negotiating the renewal of a company's lease, or
  • Assistance in selecting new lease space for relocation
  • Information on new office buildings planned or currently under construction
  • Assistance in subleasing your company's premises
Parrino brings a unique, diversified knowledge to lease transactions, having represented both the tenants' and landlords' sides in her career. She began her real estate career in St. Louis, Missouri with a local developer, Turco Development. After relocating to Dallas, Texas in 1982, she joined Coldwell Banker, now known as CB Commercial. In 1985, she assumed the position of building manager for a two-building office complex in far north Dallas owned by the development arm of Sears, Roebuck & Co., Homart Development. Parrino was responsible for the successful lease renewal negotiations with the largest tenant in the complex, Electronic Data Systems (EDS), which leased over 45,000 square feet.
In 1992 Parrino was transferred to Houston, Texas to assume the General Manager's position at Phoenix Tower, a 618,000 square foot office building in the Greenway Plaza area of the city. In this capacity she was directly responsible for all leasing. Parrino was responsible for successfully negotiating the lease renewal of the property's largest tenant, Natural Gas Pipeline Company of America, a division of Occidental Petroleum, which occupied six floors in the building.
In 1995 Parrino joined Betz Commercial Brokerage, Inc. as a tenant rep broker specializing in office leasing. She has represented a variety of clients in the Houston area including oil and gas companies, engineering firms, Houston offices of national chemical and insurance companies, and CPA's and attorneys.
Parrino is an active member in the Houston Office Leasing Brokers Association (HOLBA), holds a broker's license from the State of Texas, and was recently elected to the Board of Directors for the Galleria Chamber of Commerce.
